Ruchi Gupta was associated with transparency and right to work movements for many years before joining the Congress Party. During that time, she also worked with the National Advisory Council, the advisory body chaired by the Congress President to make recommendations on social policy to the UPA Govt. She is the founding trustee of "Dialogue for Democracy", a platform for students to deliberate on topical issues through conversations with leading academics, activists and other public intellectuals. Prior to returning to India, Ruchi was a consultant with McKinsey & Co in New York City. She has written extensively on issues of democracy, development and state accountability in all the national dailies.
Shri Neeraj Kundan, National Secretary NSUI has been appointed the National President of NSUI by Congress President Shri Rahul Gandhi.
Shri Neeraj Kundan belongs to middle class family, where his father retired in Government services.
His political career started with a successful election and a run as the President of Law School, Jammu University in 2009. He is a product of the transformative process the NSUI underwent after Shri Rahul Gandhi introduced elections within the organisation. He became First National Delegate in 2011 and after two years of hard work, he became the 2nd elected NSUI President for Jammu & Kashmir.
In 2017 he was the In-charge of Punjab University, Rajasthan and Delhi. Under his leadership, NSUI won in Punjab University and Rajasthan University. He has also served as a member of the Campaign Committee of the Congress party in Jammu and Kashmir for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
